Sweet Tooth Green Tooth Lunch!

My first post! Woo hoo! I've been going back and forth on posting some of my favorite savvory sweets and my equally favorite healthy-green-eating concoctions. How can you love both equally you might ask? It's simple! I eat mostly healthy leafy green meals but cheat every so often with a devilish-sweet-tooth fix every so often.....sweet tooth, green tooth.

Today I fixed up a yummy green meal for lunch that I just had to share!

Enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • Non-GMO, vegetarian fed chicken cooked with parsley, garlic cloves and lemon juice
  • Cooked vegetables (orange bell peppers, spinach, chopped garlic, brocolli, and onions)
  • Spiced with turmeric seasoning, a sprinkle of Cayenne pepper, and pepper - I NEVER USE SALT!!
I try to buy vegetables that are in season and that are organic. If the 5-digit label on the vegetable starts with either a 9 or 8 (ex: #98725) it's good for you and was grown organically! But if it starts with a 4 or 5 (ex: #48762) it's non-organic.

I love prepping my food for the week in BPA-free or glass containers. I bought most of my glass containers like the one you see in the top middle picture from Ross for just $3! Whole Foods is an awesome place to buy your food for more reasons than one! But I mostly love that I can have my chicken or fish cooked for me with the seasonings I love right on their grill. I also have my veggies cut up for me in the "chop shop". This busy girl doesn't have time to do all that cutting when I'm always on the go! #aintnobodygottimefordat
